The Biomembranes Research Group has extensive experience in studying the actions of different exogenous agents on lipid metabolism.

Currently, the line of research is focused on studying the action of various synthetic inhibitors that interfere with lipid metabolism and the mechanism of action responsible for their antitumor activity.

There is no doubt that a better understanding of the interrelationship between these processes is essential for understanding the tumor response to these inhibitors and may facilitate the development of new high-potency, low-toxicity therapies for cancer treatment.
